In each of these destinations, we have preferences for where we like to stay, we are happy to add this to your tailor-made trip. This is an ideal way to end your safari holiday and spend the last days or week, relaxing by the beach before you head back home.

Masai Mara is one of the most popular destinations for safari enthusiasts in Kenya. Located about a 7 hour drive from Sandai, this game reserve is home to a wide variety of wildlife including lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, and more. The annual wildebeest migration is one of the biggest highlights of the reserve. There are a variety of accommodations available in and around the reserve to suit different budgets and preferences. We usually break up the long trip by stopping over for a night in Naivasha or the Nakuru national park.

Nakuru National Park is a popular destination located approximately 3 hours from Sandai. It is known for its stunning scenery and diverse wildlife, including over 400 bird species and large populations of both black and white rhinos. Visitors can also expect to see herds of buffalo, zebras, giraffes, and even the occasional leopard or lion. One of the main attractions of the park is the large alkaline lake, which is sometimes home to flocks of pink flamingos. The park offers a variety of accommodation options, including lodges and campsites, for those who want to stay overnight and fully explore the area.

Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake located in the Great Rift Valley, approximately 3 hours from Sandai. It is a popular destination for birdwatching enthusiasts due to its diverse birdlife, including over 400 species of birds. Visitors can take a boat ride to explore the lake and its surroundings, visit Crescent Island for a nature walk among the wildlife, or hike up Mt. Longonot for panoramic views of the surrounding area. Also a great stop over destination on your way to the Masai Mara.

Samburu National Reserve is one of our most beloved safari destinations, located approximately 3 hours from Sandai. There are a variety of accommodation options available to suit different budgets, ranging from luxury lodges to rustic tented camps. Samburu is known for its unique wildlife such as gerenuk antelopes, reticulated giraffes, and Grevy's zebras, as well as for its beautiful landscapes and the Ewaso Ng'iro river. A visit to Samburu is a great way to experience the beauty and diversity of Kenya's wildlife, landscapes & culture.

Hiking up Mt. Kenya is an adventure of a lifetime. The mountain is the secondhighest peak in Africa 5999m, and offers a range of trekking routes suitable for different experience levels. On the hike, you can see various wildlife such as elephants, buffaloes, and antelopes as well as different fauna and flora. As you ascend, the scenery changes from lush forests to rocky terrain with stunning views of glaciers and lakes. The trek usually takes several days, and climbers must be physically fit and prepared for altitude sickness

Located just 30 minutes from Sandai, is the perfect destination for an overnight safari. On the way in, enjoy a short game drive and spot the park's diverse wildlife. Once at the lodge, relax and unwind while enjoying views of animals coming to drink at the waterhole. The next day, we enjoy a full day safari to explore more of the park's stunning landscapes and wildlife before heading back to Sandai. Aberdare National Park is an excellent choice for a memorable overnight safari experience.
